Filaraki uses AI to compare photos and details in missing and found reports and suggest possible matches. Another way to help search for your dog — with you reviewing every suggestion. Start with a clear photo Add clear, recent photos: one showing the face and another showing the body and distinctive markings where possible. Prefer natural light and an unobstructed view. Avoid filters, collages and images containing personal details. Include what you know about appearance, place and time. Say when something is uncertain. A blurred or unsuitable photo can limit or prevent analysis. You can choose the cover photo. The pipeline analyses up to five uploaded photos and selects up to two usable views per animal for detailed comparison. Photo-based drafting is optional and requires your consent and review before applying suggestions. From a report to a possible match 1. **Submit and verify your email.** Add photos and details without needing an account. 2. **Review and publication.** Publication requires a human action. AI does not automatically publish reports. 3. **Retrieve candidate reports.** Active, published reports of the same species with photos are considered: missing against found. 4. **Compare and suggest.** The most relevant candidates receive a closer comparison. Processing runs in the background and is not instant. Report status shows whether comparison is queued, preparing photos, comparing, complete, delayed or needs a clearer photo. Optional embedding services can improve retrieval but are not required for direct photo comparison. New reports can produce later suggestions. What helps the comparison AI examines visible characteristics such as coat colour, patterns and markings alongside the available descriptions. Area and timing help rank candidate reports. Reports from different parts of Greece can be candidates. Distance alone does not exclude a report. Not every pair of reports receives a detailed comparison in each run. Each available suggestion shows the related report, a similarity score, reasons, differences and cautions. The **0–100 score describes similarity**. It is not a percentage probability that this is the same animal. Suggestions meeting the configured threshold may trigger an email. Notifications also depend on processing and email delivery. Open Compare photos and details for a side-by-side view. From your private workspace, mark a suggestion worth checking, dismissed or contacted. These choices are private and do not remove the suggestion for the other reporter. Outdated report comparisons are withheld until reassessed. The next step is human Open the suggested report and examine its photos and details carefully. Use the available contact actions and privately verify identifying details and ownership before arranging a handover. You may record which suggestion helped and optionally notify the other reporter. Only your report closes; the other reporter decides how to update theirs. Private message attachments require authorised access. Questions about AI matching ### Does it search the whole internet? No. It compares eligible reports within Filaraki, not Facebook, Instagram or other websites. ### Is it only for dogs? Comparison is between reports of the same species. Cats are supported too; the report needs a photo and must be eligible. ### Why are there no suggestions? Check that you verified your email and the report is published. Processing may take time, or there may be no relevant report. AI may also be unavailable. Continue browsing, sharing and using area alerts. No suggestion does not mean the animal has not been found. ### Is this the chat assistant? No. The assistant explains the app. It does not run matching searches in the conversation. ### Does it guarantee a reunion? No. AI provides leads for human review, not a guaranteed reunion or proof of ownership.
